dc.description	Photo of actor Donald Sutherland (left, born in Saint John, New Brunswick) receiving an honourary degree from Archbishop Hayes as Dr. Ozmon (right, SMU President 1979-2000) looks on. This space was the main level of the original chapel (built in 1953, complete with altar) before being renovated into the McNally Theatre Auditorium which opened on March 1 1982, with the stage moved to the east wall and the auditorium seating in the west wall, while still retaining the external facade of the original 1953 church.
