dc.description.abstract The article aims to clarify the factors that promote women’s micro-enterprises in a rural local development context. Specifically, the study examines the impact of entrepreneurial capacities, environmental support and the implementation of a planning strategy that promotes women’s participation in the emergence of female entrepreneurial dynamics. The results show that entrepreneurial capacities strongly stimulate the emergence of female entrepreneurial dynamics in a rural local development context. Community support and gender mainstreaming also promote women's participation in the local development process. en_CA
