dc.description	Austin Hayes (left, Commerce class of 1937, then Chairman of Board of Governors 1970-1978), Acadian scholar Antonine Maillet (honourary Doctor of Letters), United Church minister David MacDonald (honourary Doctor of Laws), and Elizabeth Chard (History faculty from 1961, then Registrar 1973-2005, also instrumental in establishing women's varsity sports at SMU), all wearing academic garb, pose for a group photo.
