dc.description Good.
dc.description View of Reference Room from the cavernous lobby of the Patrick Power Library. Library administration offices would be through the glass doors to the left; stairwell to upper floors is on the right (out of sight). The students (or staff persons) seen in the gloom are about 50 feet from the tiny Check-Out and Security Desk in the lobby (unseen, lower left). The smaller pink-carpeted area at upper right housed the card catalogue and a private door into the back workroom (later on, the curved wooden "Services Plus" desk was erected here); it is now a cosy reading area with a cheery fireplace and attractive New Books display. Note the (noisy) brick floor! Information details credited to Doug Vaisey.
