b&w photograph
Excellent condition: lower left corner frayed and cut unevenly.
At far left, Archbishop Hayes (Arts class of 1943, Chancellor 1970-1980) applauds as Austin Hayes (centre, Commerce class of 1937, Chairman of Board of Governors 1970-1978) and English professor Mike Larson hold up a painting of St. Mary's College (Windsor Street campus) between them. Saint Mary's had just converted from a Jesuit-run school into a secular university.
Written in ink on reverse: 'Austin Hayes, Mike Larson' and '77%'. Written in red ink on reverse: '#1' over '#1' in pencil. Came in file folder marked 'Art'. From Art Gallery.
