b&w photograph
Fair condition: sides curling, all corners frayed, rip near top left corner, staple marks in each corner, rip near top right corner, ink marks on lower right edge, photo yellowing, and emulsion lines showing.
Panoramic photo of a reception probably in the days leading up to Convocation, as priests and faculty mingle socially with soon-to-be graduates. Far left is Biology lab professor Enriqueta Rojo chatting to an unknown gentleman. At the very back of the room at the left, just underneath the blackboard, is Education program administrator Art Conrad (B.Ed. class of 1960). To Conrad's right is tall Commerce student Barry Lacombe (light suit, obscured). Just right of centre, by the candlesticks, stands Commerce Dean H. Beazley (arms crossed, "Babe," Commerce class of 1935); next to Beazley's right elbow is Paul Cormier (in profile, light suit, Commerce class of 1946, Accounting professor 1957-58, NS Auditor General in 1984). Identities confirmed by J. Mills in 2016.
Stamped in black on reverse is '36 771'. Came in file folder marked 'Receptions'. From Art Gallery.
