dc.description Student studying quietly in reading room that opened just before December 1970 exams (on the initiative of the Bishop Burke Library) in the main level of the original chapel. This space was renovated into the McNally Theatre Auditorium and officially opened on March 1 1982, with the stage moved to the east wall and the auditorium seating in the west wall (adjoining McNally Building) while still retaining the external facade of the original 1953 church.
