dc.description.abstract A recent focus of leadership research is on the positive impact of effective leaders on the well-being of their employees. Scholars have argued that leadership training and development interventions may have positive benefits for employee well-being. We conducted in-depth interviews with a small group of health care leaders completing transformational leadership training who were perceived by their employees as having made significant improvements in their leadership scores. Data from this exploratory research provide insights into the leadership development process and its possible impact on employee well-being. en_CA
