This collection consists of copies of primary source documents related to research on indigenous peoples, particularly ethnology papers regarding the Mi'kmaq peoples.

The Harry Piers Ethnology Papers were created by the Nova Scotia Museum, and are reproduced here by permission. They consist of a catalogue of Mi'kmaq documents located in the Museum. The material was transcribed, edited, and annotated by Ruth Holmes Whitehead in 2003. These documents were provided to Raymond Sewell, Indigenous Student Advisor at Saint Mary's University. These papers are broken up into three volumes, and each volume has its own chapter. A table of contents is available on page three of volume one.
