Photograph of a statue of Mary and baby Jesus in McNally Building, which piece appears to have been brazenly stolen during the night of a campus function (see below).
Written in black ink on front: 's/s'. Written in red ink on front: 'C' encircled and 'To size'. Written in blue pencil crayon on reverse: 'This Week Page 4 Extra s/s' crossed out. Written in ink on reverse: 's/s' encircled, 'pp-206' and 'GG' encircled. On the back of 99.03.0336 is written 'Ray MacDonnell, 10 Bluestone Rd, Purcells Cove, Herring Cove [this last crossed out]. [S]eemed high, wanted to lecture at St. Mary's. Gone between hours - 9:10 pm-11:15 pm - During night - 2 movies shown this night. 100 clubs in for evening. Party - for staff - Gym was busy - over 300 or 400 persons in when statue disappeared - statue is made of Hard Wood - recently oiled, would be dark in color - orange tinge to it now. 'Bourgolt' name appears at base in [? words cut off] who was the [Crown?] of Statue'. Came in an envelope marked "Statue: Mary and Christ". From Art Gallery.
