dc.description.abstract	Student evaluation of teaching instruments (or “SETs”) are used extensively despite considerable resistance from faculty. This resistance is surprising given extensive research which seemingly supports SET use for counselling and evaluation. A reason for this resistance is suggested, arguing that the current debate concerns academic values thus resistance will not be overcome by more or “better” data .	en_CA
