dc.description.abstract Medical physicists at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre (QEII) located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, use a process known as forward treatment planning when planning radiotherapy treatment for lung cancer patients. This paper details the development of a linear programming model that calculates optimal beam weightings that assists medical physicists at the QEII in lung cancer forward treatment planning. en_CA
