dc.description.abstract This study examines how carsharing grows at the multi-residential building level in other cities and examines the barriers and enablers that exist in Halifax, Nova Scotia for similar growth to take place locally. Findings from the study show that the process to implement carsharing at the building level is complex. Limited municipal policies create obstacles for developers to reduce parking requirements and integrate carsharing into new building developments. There needs to be stronger relationships between the CarShareHFX, the City urban planners and developers for these types of initiatives to take place in Halifax. en_CA
