dc.description b&w reproduction of photograph
dc.description Excellent condition.
dc.description Numerous young male high school students hold a white paper chain while their teacher, Father John Power (at back, named as high school Principal in the 1963 yearbook), holds the end of the roll. Father Power taught the students about early computers by engaging in blackjack games. The blond student (far right) is Guy Pothier, who first appears as a sophomore (2nd year) student in the 1963 yearbook and a graduate in the 1965 yearbook (identity confirmed by J. Mills in 2014), providing an approximate date for this photo, although why a lone university student is participating with a group of high school boys is unclear.
dc.description Picture appears in Saint Mary's University: An Anniversary Portrait by Anne West on page 33. Copyright of image may belong to the Archdiocese of Halifax Archives.
