dc.description.abstract Over the past few years much attention has been paid to the topic of professional development by school boards, professional organizations and schools. This paper examines the experiences of one institution in light of current thinking. It attempts to identify the basal criteria that will determine the outcome of trying to initiate changes in individual and organizational attitudes and development. It also hopes to identify the pitfalls organizations are prey to when engaging in such a process.
