Photo of the Enos Collins mansion with its long sweeping drive leading to Tower Road and McNally Building (its rooftop stone cross just barely visible through the trees) in the background. A student with backpack walks across the lawn. The tiny white golf club storage building (? unverified) is at far left (visible far right in 04.03.0016). Possibly what appear to be 4 tree stumps side by side in the centre ground are all that's left of the 4 mature trees behind the older gentleman in 98.04.0292. The broken square "block" on the ground at left very likely is the base of the stone gatepost at left also in 98.04.0292. Approx. date based on the existence of the old Chapel (constructed in 1953). The Enos Collins mansion was demolished in 1962, to make way for the O'Donnell-Hennessey Student Centre. |
