dc.description	Edmund Morris (former Halifax mayor, assistant to the President, SMU President 1970-1971) is about to receive a plaque from Laurie Smith (left, Arts class of 1943, here Director, Admissions and Scholarships) and Rick Butler (Arts class of 1969, President of Alumni Association 1980-1981). Morris received an honourary Doctor of Civil Law in 1986.
