Good condition with ink on reverse
Librarian Arthur Smith (dark suit) instructs students in the use of the microfiche readers in the lobby of the Patrick Power Library, assisted by Linda Browning (to left of Smith, wearing glasses). At extreme right, a short-haired Jane Archibald greets a new group of students (unseen). The card catalogue is no more; against that back wall now is a cheery wall fireplace surrounded by comfy reading chairs and attractive New Books Display. The door at right that used to lead into the back workroom was closed over in 2011.
Written on reverse in ink: 'Patrick Power Library open house Sept.11/84 Students at Public Catalogue learning how to use the microfiche catalogue'.
