dc.description.abstract The purpose of this major research project is to create a business plan for, and determine the feasibility of, a mobile applications development company. An example of the type of application is provided along with the premise behind the organization and its foundation in lean manufacturing. Nine building blocks are described which form the business model to be used. Industry trends are used to project the potential for the company as well as to identify appropriate revenue streams for the business model. A risk and sensitivity analysis was performed and a roadmap outlining the implementation of the project was created. A financial analysis was completed with cash flow estimations. All of these tools were used to determine that the overall risk for the project is low with the potential for high returns on investment. The conclusion, therefore, is to proceed with the implementation of the business plan. en_CA
