Burns enjoyed a distinguished career as Vicar General to the diocese's Bishop (exercising executive powers) from ca. 1942-1959. He also served on Saint Mary's Senate and as Vice Chancellor ca. 1951-1959. Some details credited to alumnus Ervin J. Doak (Commerce class of 1962). Donated by Wallace Foley's widow.
