Staff of The Tower (the Homburg Centre for Health and Wellness since 2012) remove blankets, mattresses, pillows and chairs from the gymnasium after British Airways passengers have departed to continue on their journey. When their flight from London, England to Houston, Texas was re-routed to Halifax because of the terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11 2001, students and staff rallied to turn the gymnasium into temporary accommodation for the stranded passengers. |
