Group photo of the Arts and Engineering graduating class flanked by two priests in 2 rows standing on the steps of Saint Mary's College. Front row (l to r): Ernie Glenister, Leo Day, Parker Hickey, Tom Stokes, Cyril Brown, and St. Clair Hayes. Back row (l to r): Gerry Burns, Gerry Smith, Brother Culhane, Erin Smith, Brother Cornelia, Harry Vaughan, and John Vereker. Publication of the yearbook was suspended from 1914-1920 likely due to wartime and immediate post-war paper shortages: a patriotic gesture by the College (see pg. 13 and 93 in the 1921 Santamarian yearbook). Gerry Smith was killed in 1945 (see pg. 7 of the 1945 Collegian yearbook). |
