dc.description Poor condition: photograph taken in three frames, they are taped together on reverse, large crease down the centre, third frame torn into two halves, the halves are stapled together and the whole photo is stapled to the matte, and top right corner torn.
dc.description Group photo of 161 people taken on and around the steps of Saint Mary's College on the Windsor Street campus: 35 young men on left side of photo, 83 nuns in centre, 33 young men on right side of photo, 5 young women in hats in back row, and six priests in front row. All the nuns are wearing white headdresses and sashes reading 'CCSMC' (Canadian Catholic Students' Mission Crusade). The six priests are (l to r): ?, Brother Mahar, Brother, Sterling, Brother Loftus, ? and Rev. Bro. Garvey. Many boys were identified in the LEFT side of the photo. In the front row are Addis Daley and G. Frecker (second from right and far right, wearing round black glasses). In the second row are Eddie O'Connor, Charlie Frecker, and Jim McGuire (third from left, second from right, and far right, leaning over priest's shoulder). In the third row are Doug Penny, Bob Donnelly (with two smaller boys peeping behind him), ?, ?, F. Pooley, Wal O'Hearn (arms crossed), Billy Murphy, and Art Sheehan. In the back row are Chris Grant and A. Murray (second and third from left). Many boys were also identified in the RIGHT side of the photo. Bernie O'Leary (wearing light-coloured suit) is kneeling down, left arm resting on his knee at the very front. In the second row are Gerry Murphy (head tilted to one side) and Jim Dyer (fourth and fifth from right). In the third row are D. Scanlon and George Renner (far right and second from right). In the back FULL row is Larry O'Neill (seventh from right). Identities confirmed by J. Mills in 2016.

Hayward' and what resembles '1'2070.' In frame one, 'N.7' appears in white under third window from the left. In frame two, '5' appears in white under window.
