dc.description	Poor condition: tape around entire plate, remnants of three pieces of white paper on photo, and emulsion lines showing. The plate appears to be a copy of a photograph with tears and creases. On the reverse side of the plate is a reproduction of a painting by Joseph Purcell.

The young men are wearing their dark pants, and are sweaty and dishevelled, but clearly jubilant: they have just ended St. FX's 47-game winning streak with their 9-8 win, and will go on to beat McMaster 15-1, winning the Atlantic Bowl in November 1964. See pg. 83-88 of the 1965 Santamarian yearbook for details. Front row: Al Keith ("Smilin' Al," Arts class of 1965), ?, Don Murphy, Bob Ruotolo (Arts class of 1965), ? (behind Bob Hayes), Coach Bob Hayes, Tom Haney (Arts class of 1967), and Ted Purnell. Second row: at far left is Brian Murphy, second and third from right are Charlie White (thick dark hair) and Erwin Penner (angled, receding hair, wearing shoulder pads). Back row: sixth from right, his dark head just visible over Penner's angled left shoulder, is David Murphy (Arts class of 1966) and third from left, leaning inward, is John Schneider ("Schneids," Commerce class of 1965). Nova Scotia football great Bob Hayes was Saint Mary's first Athletics Director from 1958-1974 and 1983-1985, as well as the first Student Services Director from 1975-1983. He also played a major role in the 1984-89 Capital Campaign.
