b&w photograph
Good condition with the sides curling and a small dots and scratches throughout.
Photograph of a statue of Mary and baby Jesus in McNally Building, which piece appeared to have been brazenly stolen during the night of a campus function (see below).
On the back of 99.03.0336 is written 'Ray MacDonnell, 10 Bluestone Rd, Purcells Cove, Herring Cove [this last crossed out]. [S]eemed high, wanted to lecture at St. Mary's. Gone between hours - 9:10 pm-11:15 pm - During night - 2 movies shown this night. 100 clubs in for evening. Party - for staff - Gym was busy - over 300 or 400 persons in when statue disappeared - statue is made of Hard Wood - recently oiled, would be dark in color - orange tinge to it now. 'Bourgolt' name appears at base in [? words cut off] who was the [Crown?] of Statue'. Came in an envelope marked "Statue: Mary and Christ". From Art Gallery.
