An Engineering student demonstrates his model airplane during the Aerodynamics Endurance contest in McNally Gymnasium (in the basement of the old chapel) during the 1974 Open House (see pg. 134-136 of the 1974 Santamarian yearbook). Waiting to participate are Mike d'Entremont (at left, chunky sweater, Engineering class of 1974), Arthur Ball (holding saucer-shaped aircraft, Engineering class of 1974), Brian Jollimore (glasses, hands in pockets, Engineering class of 1974), and Vic Thibodeau (check shirt, holding paper airplane, Engineering class of 1974).
See the full story on pg. 1-2 of the February 1974 issue of The Times. In 1989 this double-height space was renovated to house the Faculty Lounge, IT office, The Den computer lab, and classrooms.
