dc.description Good condition with some furling
dc.description Photo of the main floor of the old chapel set up for a function of some kind (quite possibly the Halifax Symphony Orchestra performance of The Barber of Seville in aid of the Springhill mining disaster relief fund), with people filling rows of chairs in the balcony and on the main floor facing the front, with Jesuit faculty visible. This upper floor space was renovated into the McNally Theatre Auditorium which opened on March 1 1982, with the stage moved to the east wall and the auditorium seating in the west wall (adjoining McNally Building). In 1989 the chapel's double-height basement gymnasium was converted into two levels housing the Faculty Lounge, IT office, The Den computer lab, and classrooms.
