dc.description.abstract Tacit knowledge plays an integral role in the competitive advantage of knowledge-based organizations, yet misunderstanding and confusion exists as to what tacit knowledge is, and how it should be managed. Through analysis of existing definitions of, and debates surrounding, tacit knowledge and the management of its use, this paper makes a case for introducing managers to the construct of tacit knowledge through business schools. en_CA
