Abstract:
Saunders’ editorial examines the application of City Ordinance 188 against Victor and Eddy Carvery, questioning its future viability in court should the Carverys ever have cause to challenge its use. Of equally speculative interest are Saunders’ thoughts near the end of the piece where he briefly considers whether the furore surrounding the brother’s protest ‘is threatening to become a wedge that could threaten solidarity among former Africville residents.’
