dc.description.abstract When Halifax City Ordinance 188 passed committee reading in March 1995, it became apparent that part of the ordinance would allow the city to stop the ongoing protest at Seaview Park. In reaction to this effort by the city to remove the Seaview Park protesters, the Coalition to Fight City Racism (CFCR) was formed. This “Rally Against Racism” document outlines the CFCR’s position on City Ordinance 188 and advocates for a demonstration at City Hall on May 11, 1995, to oppose the ordinance. Attached to the document is a petition seeking public support against the ordinance.
