dc.description.abstract The discovery of <sup>11</sup>Li halo nuclei structure sparked the development of research of exotic nuclei close to the neutron drip line. This includes research on <sup>12</sup>Li which is unbound beyond the neutron drip line. The question about <sup>12</sup>Li structure is still open and some studies have uncovered certain properties of <sup>12</sup>Li like observed resonance states but these have contradictory information about these states. The goal of this study is to find any resonances of <sup>12</sup>Li by examining a neutron transfer reaction and comparing the results to previously observed resonances for similarities or differences in these results. This experiment was done at the IRIS facility located at TRIUMF where a <sup>11</sup>Li beam of 80.3 MeV interacted with a deuterium target to induce a neutron transfer reaction <sup>11</sup>Li(d,p)<sup>12</sup>Li. This thesis will cover the analyse of the data for deriving the excitation spectrum. en_CA
